Terms and licence
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms cover the Ledge app and the Ledge Pro licence. By installing or using Ledge, you agree to them. "We" means the person who makes and sells Ledge.
What you get
- Ledge (free). You can use the free features of Ledge for as long as you like.
- Ledge Pro. A one-time payment unlocks the Pro features, with no subscription. A licence key lets you use Pro on up to two of your own Macs. You can move the key to another Mac by deactivating it on the first.
- The free trial. New installs include a 48-hour trial of the Pro features, with no payment details needed.
Your licence
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Ledge on your own Macs. You may not copy, resell, share your licence key, or try to bypass the licence checks. You may not reverse engineer Ledge except where the law allows it.
Things to know about the software
- Works with Spotify and Apple Music. Ledge is not made by, or connected with, Apple, Spotify or any other company. Their names belong to them.
- macOS updates. Some features, in particular the lock screen artwork, rely on parts of macOS that Apple doesn't document. A macOS update could stop them working. We'll try to fix problems when they happen, but we can't promise that every feature will keep working on every version of macOS.
- Not notarised. Ledge is an independent app. macOS may ask you to approve it the first time you open it, in System Settings, under Privacy and Security.
- Updates. We may release new versions, which you download from this website. We don't have to provide any particular update.
Refunds
See our refund policy.
Our responsibility
Ledge is provided "as is". We take care in making it, but we can't promise that it will always work without errors or interruption. To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for indirect losses, and our total responsibility for any claim about Ledge is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law as a consumer, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes and law
We may update these terms, and the version on this page applies to new downloads. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
