Privacy policy

Last updated: 3 November 2026

Ledge is a Mac app that turns the MacBook notch into a music player. This page explains what information Ledge and this website use, in plain English. In this policy, "Ledge", "we" and "us" mean the person who makes and sells Ledge, based in the United Kingdom.

The short version

This website

The website (meetledge.app) is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website, the host's servers see technical information such as your IP address and browser type when you load a page, and may keep short-term logs for security and reliability. We don't add cookies, analytics or advertising tools to the site. If we add any later, we'll say so here.

The Ledge app

Stored on your Mac only. Ledge saves your settings, the date your free Pro trial began, a short list of songs you starred in Ledge, and (if you use it) a Spotify connection. None of this is sent to us.

What Ledge reads. To show what's playing, Ledge asks Spotify and Apple Music for the current track, artwork and playback state, and can send them play, pause and skip. If you use the AirPods features, it reads the name and battery level of connected Bluetooth devices. This is processed on your Mac and isn't sent anywhere.

Permissions. macOS asks you to approve Ledge's access to control Spotify and Music, and to Bluetooth. You can change these at any time in System Settings, under Privacy and Security.

Connections the app makes

Support emails

If you email [email protected], we use your message and email address only to reply to you and keep a record of the support conversation.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). To make a request, email [email protected].
